The Drink
Everclear is a rock band formed in Oregon, USA, in 1992. Everclear consisted of Art Alexakis (lead guitar, lead vocals), Craig Montoya (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Greg Eklund (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Eklund replaced original drummer Scott Cuthbert in 1994. Montoya and Eklund departed the band in 2003, but Alexakis has continued the band. Current members include Dave "Davey" French (rhythm guitar), Josh Crawley (keyboards), Sam Hudson (bass guitar), and Tommy Stewart (drums, percussion).
In March 2009, Art Alexakis went on a solo acoustic tour, playing Hard Rock Cafes around the US. The tour was a benefit for Musicians on Call charity. During interviews for the tour, Alexakis said the band would be in the studio working on a new album. It has since been announced that an acoustic album of old and new songs entitled "In a Different Light" was being recorded for an October 2009 release. Also, the band's next studio album would see a summer 2010 release.
